This project's ambition was to restructure the foyer Maurice Ravel, a former residence for musicians in Nanterre. It had been built in the 1970's by a french architect, Jacques Kalisz, fascinated by modular constructions. Our aim was to transform the place so it can live with its own time, while respecting its proper character. We thus proposed to preserve and rehabilitate its most outstanding elements, while in the same time replacing its most defectuous parts byt contemporary buildings inspired by its former architect's methods of design.
